éphémérité perpétuelle

Jardin botanique de Metz (Botanical Garden of Metz)

I created false petals of the Bougainvillea and scattered them irregularly on the ground of the Botanical Garden of Metz as if they had fallen from the tree. Thus, it induces a game of perception. It also involves an interaction on the viewer’s behalf by confusing the false petals with real ones. In this case, the ‘false’ is not considered in a derogatory way, because the skill required to make an object ‘false’ gives it a meaning of its own.
